GENERAL

Grade level offerings will largely depend upon enrollment. We offer Kindergarten through 6th grade, with up to 2 classes per grade level.

Class size varies depending on grade level and size of classroom. Our desire is to have a low staff/student ratio of approximately 12 to 1.

Students bring their lunch from home every day. The PTF offers special lunch opportunities throughout the year.

We are using FACTS, which is a well-known and highly respected Student Information System (SIS).

No, we will not be busing from other locations at this time.

In order to provide an excellent educational experience we have selected curriculum from a number of different providers. If you are interested in sending your student to ECS we are 100% transparent about our curriculum choices and would be happy to have you take a look.

Yes, we have been approved for state accreditation.

Yes, we have partnered with the Lutheran Scholarship Granting Organization (no we are not Lutheran). This will allow us to provide scholarships to eligible families.

CURRICULUM AND ACCREDITATION

Our philosophy of education is based on the Nature of God, Nature of the Learner, Nature of the Teacher, and the Nature of the Environment. You can read about each one in more detail here.

Our goal is to work towards accreditation through ACSI. Therefore, we plan on starting with their recommended curriculum and allow our Head of School to adjust as needed in areas where our students will benefit.

We are not considered a classical school, however, we are using some classical components.

We are accredited by the State of Indiana. Next, we plan to seek accreditation through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Accreditation through ACSI is a multi-year process and is not possible to receive immediately.

Yes, students enjoy Art & Music, twice a week, Library once per week, and Physical Education every day.

SCHEDULE

School hours are 8:30am to 3:00pm

Drop-off begins at 8:00 am and pick-up begins at 3:10 pm.

The school day is from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.

Before-School Care: 7:30 am - 8:30 am
After-School Care: 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost Per Child:

  • Before-School: $5/day
  • After-School: $5/day
  • Both: $10/day per child

We are offering full-day Kindergarten only.

We have a variety of scholarships available for qualifying families. We would encourage all families to apply and we will make every effort to make tuition accessible.

Emmanuel Community Church has invested the necessary funds to launch the school. On-going operations will be funded by tuition from attending students.

There are no automatic discounts for employees. However, we do have some scholarship opportunities available if needed.

ADMISSIONS

Applications will be accepted throughout the spring as spots remain available.

Students of church members will receive some priority. Returning students and their siblings will have first priority.
