Emmanuel Christian School (ECS) is seeking a passionate, experienced, and visionary Principal to be a part of the leadership team of our growing K-7th grade school. Key Responsibilities
The Principal will oversee the day-to-day supervision of staff and students: Including but not limited to:
- Academic Leadership
Professionally develop teaching staff
Provide high value feedback on instruction
Oversee curriculum development and alignment with ECS’s mission.
Maintain strategies to ensure academic excellence and student success.
- School Operations
Create and manage daily, weekly and yearly schedules.
Provide oversight of teachers and staff to ensure a collaborative and high-functioning team.
- Student Development
Maintain a fair and consistent approach to student discipline.
Cultivate a safe, Christ-centered learning environment.
- Collaboration and Partnerships
Work closely with the Head of Schools
Partner with SACS schools and their special education department to enhance student support services.
Lead in the development of a structure for high ability learners
- Spiritual Leadership
Model a deep and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
Provide spiritual guidance and encouragement to students, staff, and families.
Qualifications
Required
Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of teaching or administrative experience.
Preferred
State Principal License and ACSI Certification.
Experience leading an elementary Christian school.
Background in special education/high ability learners
Work Environment
Approximate Student Enrollment: 276 (K-7th grade).
Staff: 25 teachers and staff members.
