This is a full-time, 10-month school-year position. Compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and demonstrated instructional excellence in a Christian school setting.

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or related field required
Valid Indiana teaching license preferred (or eligibility to obtain)
Demonstrated knowledge of middle school science standards and instructional best practices
Commitment to professional growth and instructional excellence
Minimum 3–5 years of experience teaching middle school science or closely related subject preferred
Experience teaching life science, earth science, and/or physical science at the middle school level
Strong classroom management and lesson design skills
Ability to engage diverse learners through inquiry-based and hands-on instruction
The physical requirements of this position include the ability to stand for extended periods, move throughout classrooms and school facilities, lift instructional materials up to 25 pounds, and supervise students in
The Middle School Science Teacher will:
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction appropriate to grade level and subject area.
Integrate biblical truth and worldview into daily teaching and interactions.
Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment.
Assess student progress and communicate clearly with families.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student growth.
Participate in school events, professional development, and community life.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Head of School or Principal to support the overall mission of ECS. This position reports directly to the Principal.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of state and federal background checks and compliance with all child safety policies of Emmanuel Christian School.
The employee must have the ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats, and possess visual and auditory acuity sufficient to supervise students and deliver instruction effectively.
